Look, there are TONS of data which tell us there is a critical SES tipping point in schools. It's better for everyone - middle class and less-advantaged - when that line isn't crossed. Solid majorities of middle class students/families/values/expectations serve everyone best, especially the less fortunate. There's nothing sinister in wanting to optimize the system to benefit everyone.[/quote]
