I’m a new poster. I’m checking in to say my child had an instrumental music audition last week. We haven’t heard anything yet about an interview and the wait is agonizing.
The wait is agonizing! My kid wasn’t told what to expect after her instrumental interview. Was your kid given any info or expectations?
He was told that the next step is a family interview, and that there would be a communication to schedule one if he passed. I don't think they told him when that would be. And he's asked me many, many times if I've received one. There is a FAQ on the Ellington website that says to expect a communication from the school in the next week after the audition. Here's what it says: What happens after the audition? Admission to Ellington is a five-step process. After the initial audition you will be notified the following week whether or not you have been selected to continue in the process. Selected students will be invited back for an academic placement assessment followed by a family interview. Final admissions decisions will be made some time after the Admissions Committee Review, but no later than late March.
Thank you!
