They are made from real eggs often minus the yolk, so the labor and loss of material adds to the cost, even when manufactured in bulk. But it's better for long term storage than eggs, as even glassed eggs only last about 18 months fresh. Just avoid any powdered eggs with preservatives or artificial sweeteners such as Stevia or Sucralose![/quote]
