If you think the PTSA can do a damn thing about this, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.  BCC can’t even do anything.  It needs to come from MCPS.   All the platitudes of “we take these incidents seriously” and kids who should never step foot in BCC again, yet are in the halls the next day, are due to “we are following the MCPS code of conduct” are straight out of Central Office.  I dislike Mooney quite a bit but the county is at fault for these policies.  I am the opposite of a right winger but perhaps we’ve gone too far in accommodating feelings and being supportive while ignoring the need to teach kids there are consequences for their actions.  Pressure needs to be applied at the county, and perhaps even state, level. [/quote]
