I wrote the Tom Petty lyrics.  I don’t think she will necessarily lose popularity, but you do have to wonder how many more people there are out there to convert to her fan base.  She doesn’t appeal to everyone, just like the perfect “good girl” in Tom Petty’s song didn’t appeal to him. At a certain point, she will run out of places to expand.  She can still make money off of her current fan base and run circles around everyone else, but recruiting a huge segment of new listeners/fans will require her to distort her “good girl” image in a way that would be damaging to her.[/quote]

She doesn’t need to expand her base. She can go deeper with her existing fans and offer more products…
