I am looking at McLean HS right now. Above 4.0 it is a sea of green with one (one!) wait-list and all the rest green checks, regardless of SAT scores (and some are pretty low and likely went TO). For SATs, from 1300 up: there is one rejection, under ten waitlists, and dozens of green checks[b] regardless of GPA[/b]. If you have a 1350 and a 3.5, you are surrounded by green checks with a wait-list here and there close by. But the top right corner is pure green. In sum, zero yield protection.[/quote]
