9:48 again and hit submit too soon. I get ready early, drive her to the bus stop and go to work early. I see many parents doing the same. The silver lining is traffic is much better then and I do less work at home in the evenings.
Why are you driving your child to the bus stop? How bizarre.
Apparently my post didn’t make much sense. The reason I drive is because I go straight to work and it’s on the way. Other than that, it’s dark and there aren’t sidewalks. To answer the other poster, the point of my post is that 6:45am is a pain but you get over it. Yes, I let my kids stay more more often than I did when they were in elementary. They had almost perfect attendance back then. Now I don’t care as much.
Wow that's so lazy.
Come back when you have a middle schooler and let us know if your kid goes after the first couple of half days. It’s much different than middle and high school. I’ve experienced both.
School is not optional. Ever. No matter the pattern of the day. I have experienced both too and the policy remains.
