Agreed. I have lived in two democracies that went through a period of military dictatorship (right-wing in these cases) while I was living there, before reverting to democracy. Granted, they weren't as populous or powerful as the US but it is possible for established democracies to flirt with fascism and dictatorship. Not sure why Americans think their democracy is so pure that this will never happen here. [/quote]
