But that seems anachronistic given that buyers can find houses themselves online. In a buyers market or for a very unusual property it might still make sense. But the thing that’s really dodgy is the payment doesn’t go to a “finder” - it goes to the person who is literally supposed to represent the buyer’s interest, as an agent. Massive conflict of interest there. [/quote]
