Anyone see this movie? Is it any good? I haven’t read the book and don’t really know anything about it but there’s a ton of hype (although on DCUM there is more focus on Blake Lively’s mole than her acting). Also - is the book a worthwhile read for a middle-aged adult? Thanks.
I read the book awhile ago and thought it was okay for a quick read. I tried to read the sequel (It Starts with Us) more recently and couldn’t get through it. Personally, I haven’t seen the movie, but when I found out Blake Lively was cast as Lily my immediate reaction was that she’s too old. In the book Lily Bloom is a recent college graduate in her early 20s — not mid-30s. It seems like Colleen Hoover has been all-in on Blake but as a reader this seemed like an odd choice to me.
