IME, a single three hour assessment has little bearing on college readiness and student performance. This is why we allow multiple tries at the SAT/ACT, provide numerous grading opportunities throughout a HS or college course, etc. A snapshot is certainly useful information but is by no means definitive. Some kids don’t teat well under pressure. I told her, life isn’t an MCQ, it’s an applied knowledge project. That’s how I taught college courses, and where my kid excels. She’ll be just fine in life.
