When a coach goes to watch a game, the 22 players they are watching on the field are not all eligible for a single recruiting class that coach may be focussed on filling. From a pure logistics perspective, that is just overall a PIA for coaches as it means cross referencing roster or do unnecessary follow up work that wouldn't be necessary if every player on the field was eligible for the same recruiting class. It's been a problem in need of a solution for a while. Unnecessarily complex for leagues like ECNL where the focus is primarily on college recruiting vs. pro. This willl streamline. If someone previously not on their radar stands out, they simply ask the team for information on the player. It allows them to wrap it up in one game and maximize their reach at events.
