Why does this at all determine your admission to Harvard? It's not like any sizeable amount go on to professional leagues that justifies the massive rah rah schools. It's a backdoor for wealthy kids. Take away the football example, explain to me what  softball or rugby are adding that needs to have recruiting. [/quote]

Please tell me what your kid does outside of his/her Ivy?  Kids put in up to 12 hours a day training.  Many are going to the Olympics in Paris.

She's a leader for a club that gives back to the community in Philly and helps manage an organization that provides tutoring services. Sorry, she isn't going to the Olympics...whatever that does at all for these incredibly wealthy institutions.[/quote]
