I just can’t believe the “soft” treatment this golfer is receiving for his actions. Now if Scottie were a black golfer we all know what the outcome would have been.
Nothing. Just like Tiger Woods. The guy was arrested what else do you think should happen to him?
Tiger Woods has been treated with the utmost "softness" by law enforcement, despite multiple incidents of questionable driving and behavior.
How do you mean? Woods was arrested for DUI in 2017 and plead guilty to a reckless driving charge - this is a common practice in many jurisdictions for first time DUI offenders, especially in similar circumstances where the driver wasn’t actively driving at time of police intervention (Woods was found asleep behind the wheel and his vehicle was stationary) so that actually creates a circumstance that can make conviction at a jury trial uncertain. Woods had a car accident and could have been killed but instead was merely disabled by serous injuries that required surgery and rehabilitation. Police who responded to that incident found no probable cause to suspect intoxication; I’m not inclined to disbelieve them because I know that most cops have a hard on for charging DUIs and are more likely than not to do so if there is any indication a driver is impaired. As I recall, Woods was driving a rental car on an unfamiliar stretch of road with a high rate of accident - he might have been exceeding the speed limit? But a lifelong disability seems a decent consequence for any foolishness he exhibited in that incident. What other incidents are alleged as Woods being given a pass by police?
