I’m not sure how much pain she was in but I would want a more supportive significant other. I was already married at age 30 though and had 2 kids by age 35. OP already stated he doesn’t want to support her financially. I’m a sahm now of 3 kids. I am 100% certain Dh would not have been attracted to me and certainly would not have married me if I wanted to not work before we were even engaged. He is fine with me staying home with our 3 kids.
