NWSL league minimum isn't great but it's also not meant to be a career. If players are good ideally they'll be given a chance to move up on the roster. If not they get dropped and replaced with someone else. It's how all professional sports teams work.[/quote]

What league do you think is the equivalent of MLB or NHL in your analogy? The MLB's average salary is $4.5 million and the minimum is 720k. NHL is $3.2 million and 750k [/quote]

You are citing professional leagues that have been in existence for over 100 years and have well established minor league systems. NWSL has 14 teams and no minor league system and is younger as league than the players who play for NWSL.
