So much for the idea that Dr. Felder was going to be a cleansing agent for MCPS's corrupt culture of promoting toxic leaders: [twitter]https://twitter.com/ModeratelyMoco/status/1763292986434052435[/twitter] [twitter]https://twitter.com/ModeratelyMoco/status/1763378010986848411[/twitter]
Too bad - an unforced error by Felder. Given how problematic Dempsey is, I would not support Felder to remain superintendent (not sure she wants to stay anyway). Whomever takes over will hopefully re-retire LD.
The arrogance within MCPS to just thumb their nose at things like this baffles me. Same way the BOE didn't care when many people freaked out about Felder's spotty track record when she was announced as Interim Sup. They just don't care.
I think the BOE cares. They probably didn't have a lot of choices, under the age of 80, who were immediately available to take over after McKnight. But Felder's decision-making, to hold onto bad apples such as Lance, should be cause for concern and tips her as someone who is choosing expediency over quality, because Felder thinks this brings stability to the system. Dr. Felder, it does not bring stability. You have no idea how bad this person is, clearly.
+100 One has to wonder about the advice she is getting from senior leadership.
I guess Dr. Johnson isn't aware of LD's overall management approach. Wow.
He is just as bad. I was a new teacher when he was principal at Northwood and he was a huge bully, made people cry and put people he didn't like on PAR. He was a high school principal pal of Lance.
Cronyism at its finest.
