Just as they did in 1968 when Lyndon Johnson abruptly dropped out. And FWIW the 1968 Democratic National Convention was a complete sh*tshow. Personally I like Kamala Harris, but I know that a lot of other people don’t for various reasons and fantasize that Gretchen Whitmer or Gavin Newsom will leapfrog Harris and somehow keep the fragile Dem coalition intact, but that’s not going to happen.[/quote]
