We will need to build a ton of prison cells if we are going to put all the negligent parents in jail. Why did the other Jennifer Crumbley thread disappear?
That would be lovely. However I will settle for Columbine parents Father of Sandy Hook shooter And VT shooters parents held civilly libel and shunned from society. And any teacher that shit had in his school system and VT.
The Columbine parents were nothing like the Crumbleys. Sandy Hook shooter's dad didn't live near him, Adam had refused to communicate with his father for a couple of years, plus Adam was a adult by then --I think 20 yo. I am amazed that the kid's school didn't regard the blood, bullets, and "my life is useless" notes on his paper sufficient to immediately call child protective services, search his locker/backpack. Even if they had found nothing the note was disturbing enough to warrant an emergency psych assessment--which might or might not have resulted in concluding the kid needed hospitalization. Prosecuting parents cannot be a matter of policy, but a decision made based on the specific situation and facts.
Where is the line between that ( warranting calls to CPS/search/emergency psych assessment) and "creative writing/free speech?"
