But then if I were Palin, I don't think I would have run for VP, given the scrutiny my daughter would have been subjected to. It really bothered me when I found out later that Palin's daughter had been holding Palin's baby that night on stage at the convention probably to disguise the fact that she was pregnant. I can't imagine how difficult that must have been for Bristol, wondering when it would become obvious to the public.

Of course, I've never been in that situation so maybe I would have decided to run.  I'm sure it would be quite tempting.  But I like to think I'd be worried enough about the impact on my kid to not do it.[/quote]
