Because it sounds like OP has a history of not picking up for her mom. I can't believe her mom called on her Thanksgiving and OP couldn't pick up for one minute to wish her well for the holiday. "Happy Thanksgiving to you. Wish we were together this year. I've got to get back to cooking now, but I wanted to hear your voice." Also, you can wear headphones and cook and talk.

But, OP didn't even call her mom the next day to wish her Happy Thanksgiving or listen to the message. Team mom on this one. [/quote]
