Honey, i know you are pissed off that UVA has more Rhodes students (and is a small school!) than any other public in the U.S.  but attacking like this isn't attractive. sorry your kid didn't get in.  from wiki: The university's alumni, faculty, and researchers have included several U.S. presidents, heads of state, Nobel laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners, Rhodes Scholars, Marshall Scholars, and Fulbright Scholars. Some 30 different governors of U.S. states have attended the university, as have numerous U.S. senators and members of Congress. UVA has produced 55 Rhodes Scholars, eighth most in the United States, while its alumni have founded companies such as Reddit, CNET, and Space Adventures.

No one cares during the application process about Nobel Prize laureates.  No one.  They care about the quality of education, small classrooms, Size, student-to-professor ratio, ROI, etc.  Nobel doesn't touch any of those issues.[/quote]

Name a UVA graduate that has become President or won a Nobel.  And by the way, West Point (public) has more Rhodes Scholars and is considerably smaller than UVA.  (And why does PP believe the Rhodes Scholarship is the single barometer by which to measure universities?  It is an award restricted to males only for over 75 years!)[/quote]
