Yes but why? It’s literally been like this since at least 1989 (based on my personal experience). I’ve lived all over the country and been involved in lacrosse as a volunteer or player for every decade in inner-city programs, west coast backwaters, and private school powerhouses since then and men’s lacrosse has never changed.

I don’t get how its culture is perpetuated across time, geography and income.

Back to volleyball: other girl’s sports are meaner and the players are not playing a “finesse sport” or “hardly breaking a sweat”. [b]Go to a Big 10 game at Maryland [/b]before the season ends- it is so intense and fun to watch. [b]And college teams have a great mix of body types [/b]and personalities.  [/quote]

Going to a Maryland game to see a mix of body types is an interesting choice. There are more girls on the roster above 6' than below and 6'0 seems to be the average height
