UVA practices yield protection, and really needs girls for STEM majors , for example. I would encourage girls to apply who are anywhere near (even slightly below) their range. Also, UVA is all about diversity in a feeble attempt to right their past wrongs. If you are not 100% Asian or white, I would also encourage you to apply. [/quote]
