I know families that go annually, sometimes more than once a year. It blows my mind.
That’s us! Why does it blow your mind? We love everything about it. We stay at a luxury hotel (club level) and have a blast at the parks. It’s our happy place. We’ve taken other vacations with the kids but they don’t have nearly as much fun as they do at Disney. They’re 14 & 16 now and we’ve been going routinely for about the last 12 years.
My teens would die of embarrassment if we vacationed at Disney.
Clearly my kids are losers and yours are ultra cool. Dang you got it going on PP!
Say! After your teens ride "Its a small world" at Disney, take them up to Dutch Wonderland to ride the frog hoppers!
Is this supposed to be a zing? Do you feel good about yourself now? Having super cool teens isn’t enough? If the frog hoppers were what they enjoyed, I absolutely would! But they like bigger rides - mostly stuff that I can no longer tolerate. But they go on Small World with me because they know I enjoy it.
Seriously. My 13 year old nephew loved Star Wars land, Tron, etc. All the kids—from my 6 year old up to the 13 year old—think Small World is boring, but they go on it because the older relatives enjoy it.
DP. No need to justify anything to DCUM mean girls (or guys). Who cares what's cool? My teen DD went with some friends last summer, and they had an absolute blast, with Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind being their favorite ride of all time. They also loved Flight of Passage, Tron, plus the usuals - Expedition Everest, etc. One thing that Disney has going for it is that there's more available for those who don't like the biggest coasters (which my kids don't) and the fireworks are great (minus the current Epcot offering). I understand why some people hate the crowds and ridiculous cost of Disney. I could never stay in the parks for an entire day, and if I had to, I'd hate it too. While not a Disney regular, I've gone enough to realize that those who go more regularly have a better experience than those who are one and done because there is less pressure to pack everything in, regardless of crowds or heat.
We also know how to use the app to optimize our experience. We go a lot and never wait more than 15 minutes for anything.
