In a future oriented context - there are a few places you can easily wait just outside the airport, and be at the curb in 3 minutes, assuming no traffic backup. I have used the cell phone lot there, but it's often full.

One of the waiting areas is on the southbound GW parkway about a half mile from the main airport exit. It's a little scenic view parking lot, you will often see black cars parked there as they wait to pick up their reserved clients. It's labeled as "Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary" [b]but it should be labeled "DCA black car free waiting area" if they wanted to be accurate.[/b]

The second one is off of Route 1 southbound right at 23rd Street. There is a little strip mall there and a CVS. If you park and sit in your car there for 15-20 minutes no one will care. [/quote]
