OP, could the vet still accept donations for the other half that you owe? I too would love to help. Corndog sounds adorable and you are a great owner.
I really appreciate that. I don't owe anything to the vet, I now owe directly to the credit card company. Maybe I will set up that freefunder account. This is so unexpected and surprising that you all keep asking to help me. I've been on this site for a very long time, and it's always here when I need to get my mind off the real world. Most recently when I faced a really tough situation during the COVID shutdowns. I can always count on this place to make me laugh or roll my eyes really hard. haha But every once in a while I come across a post where everyone just comes together and offers support. There was a woman who was dying of cancer that used to post updates occasionally, and if I remember correctly, someone found her real-life blog. I should look for that thread and catch up from where I left off; I wonder about her sometimes. One of my favorite threads is the great soup thread of 2014, I come back to this thread every winter and try a new soup. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/75/411979.page Okay, Im rambling now. I'm going to go run my Sunday errands; later, I'll take a look at that freefunder account and see if it looks like something I can set up. Corndog has had his morning walk, and morning breakfast and is now snoozing on his back with his hind legs straight up in the air. I probably should start him on that sedative they gave me should he start to get too wired up. Especially now that I'm spacing out his pain med more, that helps keep him calm too. Monday, I'll call his vet for an appt; they said his incision should be checked after 10 days to make sure it's healing properly. Have a great Sunday, everyone!
Corndog mom!! That thread is the one that got me addicted to dcum! I still think about it and the kindness of strangers and it warms my heart. So glad corndog is doing well and thanks for describing him. I am a total sucker for fluffy dogs (ok, all dogs but the especially the fluffy ones)!
