My biggest takeaway is that she is lucky that wealth provides the greatest therapy. I mean this in that you have time to literally do nothing...not panic and struggle to pay bills during pandemic, or once spouse has left... or both.

What she went through was hard but damn, it could have been harder. I hope she creates a non-profit/donates a sh!tload of money to women's groups and shelters that provide tuition/job training, so that economic constraints are not a barrier to women claiming the life they want if they are left in the lurch. She could even name the non-profit after her ex, with a giant photo of him and this article in the foyer of the office for all to read.

PS if we make this into a movie and do a Hollywood ending rewrite, Paul Rudd can play the other woman's DH who calls to spill the beans... and as they meet in person and care 'n' share over the details/pulling it all together/comparing notes and processing what went wrong, they engage in various high jinks, grow closer, and end up consummating their love by shagging the blueberry bushes flat into the ground. In a shocking return to the cinema, Kevin Spacey can play the ex husband.[/quote]
