Years ago, some magazine had an article about objective ideas of beauty, based on studies of what human brains find attractive. Apparently, facial symmetry is key -- people who are generally considered ideally good-looking are people whose faces are symmetrical; if you drew a vertical line down their forehead, nose and chin, the two halves of their faces would be symmetrical. The examples used to illustrate this were Denzel Washington (very symmetrical) and Lyle Lovett (very asymmetrical). I've thought about that ever since. Lyle may be the exemplar of asymmetry but who would change a single thing about all the character in that face?! [/quote]
