OP, if your DD has a great junior year, the C+ won't make much of a difference -- junior year is the most important gradewise in HS. But the PPs are right that you might want to dial back your expectations for college for her because all the schools you've listed are reaches for pretty much any Big 3 student, even ones with almost all A's.[/quote] This! And adding that sophomore year is where you start to see where the rubber meets the road. I know many parents who their kids were top students. Then they meet a challenge sophomore year. There will likely be another challenge or two every year. Challenges are good! Focus on developing perseverance and do not catastrophize this. Life is long, your DD will be fine. She doesn’t need any Ivy education to be successful.[/quote]
