What does this even mean? [b]If you're standing in the aisle gathering your things, yes, people should wait and they do. No one will shove you aside. If you're still sitting in your seat or you're standing in the row gathering your things, then people who are standing and ready to move forward will move forward. [/b]Are you saying you're going to sit in your seat for as long as you want shouting "It's my turn! I'm taking my turn!"? Because that would be as insane as someone mowing you down while you're standing in the aisle. [/quote]

This is right, with one caveat.  I always sit on the aisle, and get up and pull down my bad when the seatbelt sign turns off.  If someone needs to make a connection, of course I'll let them past.  And really, if someone says excuse me, I'll let them pass no matter the reason.

If the people in the row in front are still collecting their things, I will start down the aisle if I am by myself.  But if I'm with my family, I won't - I'll wait for them.  They're ready to go, but still have to stand up and grab their bags if I haven't had sufficient room to get them down already.

I'm sure someone will have a problem with this approach, but that's their problem.  [/quote]
