Different people have different opinions so I like talking about facts.  Duke is T10, higher ranked than many ivies by the de facto industry standard ranking that most people go to, USN&WR.

+10.   This is interesting.  My DD passed up a school that her peers told her was a “ party school” with a high admittance rate of 85%.   Ut the individual liberal arts areas that my daughter wants are so highly ranked.    Sadly, the peer pressure really affected my child’s choices and she chose a school that is higher ranked overall , but not as good in specific areas of interest.  [/quote]

Well that is on you as a parent, that you haven't yet taught your DD not to be swayed by peer pressure.  And to explain to your DD why the program at that school is much better. [/quote]
