Current grade: 2nd NNAT/CoGAT: 140 GBRS (if known): unknown, asking the AART, she might get back to me after Spring break School or center: Canterbury Woods In/not in: not in She was automatically referred , I just submitted 1 page work sample and Parent Questionnaire. I did not know that the GBRS weights that much, should have been focusing more on getting great work samples. Do you all think an appeal would work?
I'd definitely appeal (it's always worth a shot) but will be important to see the teacher comments and if a bad/unenthusiastic GBRS might be an issue here.
If the issue is GBRS, do you think an appeal would work? I'm about to schedule her for a WISC test at GMU, but not really sure since her CogAT was really good.
Do you not have an NNAT score? 140 is very good but only one data point. Most kids have NNAT and CogAt. Great GBRS scores are helpful but they are still subjective, so I would want 2 test scores. I suppose if the WISC isn't good, you can drop the appeal.
