[/quote] Well, it seems like it's just been pretty well established here that the various "overall college rankings" are more thorough and data driven than the rankings for individual major/dept, so it seems like there's more reliable data there, but for specialized programs i can't imagine why one wouldn't also look at the program-specific ratings as well.
