The boundaries in that part of the county are "funky" because there are four high schools close to one another (Madison, Oakton, Fairfax, and Woodson) yet by law all Fairfax City kids attend Fairfax. Move part of Woodson to Falls Church and then you're just talking about moving other kids who live closer to Chantilly or Centreville to Woodson and leaving Fairfax under-enrolled. Those boundaries would be no less "funky," just "funky" in a different way. [/quote]
