We all want the good sides of gentrification (jobs, safety, education, etc) but feel for the displaced in the process. I didn't do anything today. But I am prepared to sell at a lower price to a family rather to a developer. I am (secretly) prepared to sell to a family that will increase the ethnic diversity of my neighborhood. I am prepared to vote for people who pay attention to that sort of thing - but I can't any, honestly. All local officials seem to focus on either woke or anti-woke values, and when in office, they're just keeping the status quo to go on to higher things.
I thought ‘Gentrification’ means the neighborhoods changing from majority Black to less black but more white. Increasing ethnic diversity in a historic black neighborhood means increasing white, Asian, and Hispanic. Fair Housing Act prohibits a seller rejects/picks a buyer based on their race, gender and etc.
