What?[/quote] I completely agree with everything you said, but why is it necessary for the restaurant to accommodate separate checks if you don't want to split evenly? If you bring cash, what's the difference between placing on the table the cost of your items + 40% or so to cover tax + tip and placing the cost of whatever your share is for an evenly split meal? In both cases, the restaurant doesn't have to do anything. [/quote]
