Anyone that claims that they cannot afford to find anywhere to live in the area needs to explain how unskilled immigrants can afford to do so but they cannot. I’ve got no sympathy. You can either work hard and make smart choices or whine and complain in your parents basement under the mistaken belief that the world owes you something.
By living many people to a unit in places like this: https://bethesdamagazine.com/2023/01/10/flooding-mold-rats-disaster-strikes-again-at-rock-creek-woods-apartments/ http://www.rockcreekwoods.com/about.html
Thanks for confirming that you are too good to get roommates and rent an apartment in a building at a price you can afford. They exist and you can do it. You just choose not to.
Who is the "you" you are condescending to? Do you think it's acceptable that, if you don't have a lot of money, the housing 'at a price you can afford' is 5 adults and 3 children (including a baby) in an apartment with at most 3 bedrooms, with rats, cockroaches, mold, mildew, and flooding? I don't.
5 adults, even making minimum wage would be able to afford just about anything actually. Or are some/most of these adults not working also?
