The issue is that she is not someone people enjoy working for or with. Therefore no coaches.
As a longtime MC parent I would like to correct the above statement as I know most of these coaches from our time there. And, for what it’s worth, almost all of these coaches have been at MC for several years. 2032 coach is a JV lacrosse coach at HC 2030C coach is the former Varsity coach at Whitman 2030M coach is the Varsity coach at HC Both 2029 coaches were high level D1 lacrosse players 2028 coach is a former SR lacrosse coach 2027 coach is club director 2026M coach is Varsity coach at HC 2026C coaches are a JV HS coach and former D1 player 2025M coach is former Varsity coach at Holy Cross 2025C coach was a Varsity Lax coach at 2 public schools in MoCo 2024 coaches were high level D1 athletes who coached at Pride before coming to MC
Sounds like a good resume of coaches across all age groups/teams. Question then is, why are these teams arguably the weakest in the DC area and by a large margin? If you were to rank the programs, you'd have Pride, Stars, BLC, Next Level, maybe even YJMA at this point ahead of MC Elite at most ages. Seems like a big downward trend.
Not sure that is fair. Reality is that there are probably too many teams for the amount of talent in the area. Clearly Pride and Stars are top at the middle school level and can't see anything changing here anytime soon just based on the resources those clubs have. The rest is hit or miss by age group. Historically MCE would get some of the top Next Level girls because Next Level didn't play in big tourneys, but they have stepped up their game here which will hurt. BLC is really only competitive at 2 age groups -- 27 and 30. The rest of them are really rec level. MCE's 25s and 26s are actually somewhat competitive. Long term could see them competing against Stars and Pride for girls who can't make Capital
BLC 27's , 29's, 30's, 31's and even the 32's are very talented teams.
Every BLC team listed above is either better or substantially better compared to counterparts in the DMV. Next Level 29's and Pride 28's are the only exceptions.
