I'm not allowed to be uncomfortable around anxious people? I fought severe anxiety for years, and part of my recovery is not being around people who cling to it...because I tend to jump right back in. Yes, it means I have to do things I'd rather not do and not be around people I'd like to get to know better, but my mental health comes first. [/quote]

Perhaps. But I choose to avoid anxious people, and if I can't, e.g., if DD wanted a masker friends to come, my feelings on the matter are valid. And since there is a genetic component, I also prefer she not cultivate serious friendships with friends suffering from a social contagion. [/quote]
