They care about criminal justice system-involved individuals.   They are attempting to ensure they are not criminalized, and instead either left alone, or given some sort of diversionary treatment to avoid criminal records and jail time.   And a lot of that is good on its face.   But they have entirely dismissed the concern that there are people committing bad acts and there are actual human victims of those acts.   oh, and most victims of violence are Black and brown.   That never gets discussed.  [/quote]
