People thought they were unflattering at first until they realized that a higher rise meant no more muffin top and you had the option of actually tucking your shirt in or even just wearing a regular shirt without exposing your lower back.

Sometimes trends are just the fashion trends industry trying to convince you to buy more crap. But I actually think the return to straight leg and higher rises (essentially a return to 90s style jeans) is more about rejecting impractical and uncomfortable trends (skin tight denim, low rise) than anything else.[/quote]
