I had this same experience but it happened where I used to live in Bethesda and it was an old woman in an old fashioned nightgown staring down at me while I slept. She had her hands clasped and was just looking over me in a non-menacing way but she was completely white and translucent. Scared the crap out of me and I also pulled the covers over my eyes until I could check to see that she was gone. We felt her presence the whole time we lived there--heard footsteps on the stairs, could hear things in the kitchen, lights would turn on and off. She made her appearance a few days before we moved out. I kind of like to think she was pleased we let her be and didn't bother her while we lived there, but just not sure why she wanted to look at me while I was sleeping. [/quote]
