I find it funny, and somewhat pathetic, that someone is arguing Russia should be free to invade a neighboring country, murder children, rape women, level civilian homes, and yet finds it unfair that other countries provide military and civilian supplies against Russia? Poor baby. Waaaaaaaa.
And yet when other countries provide military and civilian supplies to the Palestinians, you do just that. Oh and Iran helping Yemenis is a no no. I’ve said that before: only white casualties count.
Anyone defending the actions of the IRGC is not a serious person worthy of debate.
Translation: only the white casualties count. Only the west decides who’s worthy of help. Annexation is ok as long as it’s taken from brown people.
Let's not ignore the whole Kosovo episode, which basically is a complete flip of the situation in Ukraine. If we had consistent principles, we would be returning that land to Serbia.
The whole notion of "self-determination" in the context of the so-called "rules-based order" (which really means that the West makes the rules AND the exceptions for their own benefit) is one big chunk of hypocrisy. There is no logical rhyme or reason as to why "the west" applauds the breakdown of some countries and attacks it in the others. Why was South Sudan allowed to split from its neighbor? Why were Eritrea and Ethiopia? Why is Turkey allowed to occupy North Cyprus? Why is Israel permitted to annex land at will? There are no good answers to this and we are helpless to change it. Mocking the notion of the "rules-based order" is the only thing left every time it comes up.
There are answers. You seem ill-equipped to understand them.
Of course there are answers. They fall into one of the two categories: 1) it's all right as long as it works to our advantage, and 2) the party doing the annexing is our friend so it's all right.
