Do you feel the low card is sustainable for you? -53 year old that needs to lose
Absolutely sustainable for me. Had to shift to higher protein breakfast like omelette or fruit with Greek yogurt, but it has been very easy…I take more time to do meal planning….and track my macros, avoid mindless snacking. Never felt better…you can do it!
Do you eat NO sugar or just some and if so, how much? Ever have any higher carb days? I struggle with keeping it below 85.
Different poster but I'm also doing low carb-ish and have lost a substantial amount of weight on it and intermittant fasting approach. The only sugar I add to meals is a teaspoon to my morning coffee. I don't really "count" my carbs but I almost never eat pasta or rice anymore and consume limited bread; most of my carbs are from vegetable or dairy and I'd be surprised if I got in the 80s. I substitute mashed cauliflower for potatoes and with other veg mixed in it's pretty nice. I usually eat this with salmon which I love. As long as the food you do eat is delicious, I think you will find you don't miss the carbs that much. I eat a burger and chips most Fridays so that's one weekly "cheat." I don't know what I'll do when I stop trying to lose (if that ever happens!) but I might basically need to mostly stick to this forever with a few adjustments. But because I love the food I do eat, maybe I could. I was never a huge pasta or rice fan to start with, but I might need to work some more breads in to be happy. Good luck!
