If it were just her but the kids.  That would be the biggest reason to stay.  I think on some level he knows this about her so he knows he's going to be able to get away with this decision.  I think it does suck for her and I feel bad for her in this situation.  I also think that it's something men are more likely to do over women especially in the world of sports.

Once a woman makes up her mind - that's it.  And the other thing is, men can actually get away with it because the mom is really the glue that holds a family together.  As a mom, Serena isn't going to return.  Kim Clijsters could not return.  Jordan, Tom, as a dad, you don't have the same responsibilities as a mom. [/quote]
