I can't tell you how many people will wave at me to cross even as they roll their vehicle toward the crosswalk: no thank you, just go through if you're not going to stop all the way.

But, more importantly: if I am already in the crosswalk, you must stop until I cross.  Don't accelerate through the crosswalk inches behind me, before I've cleared it, or change lanes so that you pass a few feet behind or in front of me while I'm in it.  Just stop and wait.[/quote]
