Isn’t that last sentence a phrase for the Marines? This is not someone who enlisted or was drafted to protect our country.  She chose to take a job in a hostile country in the off season.  I’m playing devil’s advocate a bit here but this isn’t the same as a US soldier in Afghanistan or Vietnam.

Please stop acting like we care about our fellow man when Marc Fogel is sitting in a Russian jail for medical marijuana.  This is all political and trading Bout for Griner is a terrible move.  Imagine how Fogel’s family feels that he wasn’t even considered in the deal with the Merchant of Death?  The US government is not some moral and ethical entity.  It’s being pressured.[/quote]

How does the US government know that Britney is wrongly detained? And didn’t other posters say whether she did or not she should be brought back to the US.  Why not this man?
