This is so laughable. In my lifetime I've seen almost all the trees in this area cut down. I've seen all the insects killed with insecticides. I wonder if there are any worms left to eat under that manicured grass. There were literally so many bugs in the air that people cleaned their windshields with every tank of gas. (Ever wonder why there are squeegees at every gas station???) Now there are literally none.

If anything, more cats are kept indoors than when I was a kid. This is such laughable nonsense that cats are decimating birds. Human beings are.

Science disagrees with you. Cats are the second leading cause of bird mortality after habitat loss. Cats kill 1.3-4 billion birds and 6.3-22.3 billion mammals annually. Scientific studies back this up.  https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms2380 [/quote]

This is total BS. Did you read your own article? The vast majority of bird deaths are from feral, not owner-cats:

You’re delusional. This recent study found that HOUSECATS kill an average of 2.1 animals a week. That’s 109 animals a year killed by your precious Fluffy. Not all of these are birds, but assuming Fluffy lives 15 years (shorter than the 19 or 20 years my indoor cats have all lived, but then again you can’t be bothered to take care of Fluffy so his life will be shorter), that’s over 212 birds.
