Is anyone surprised? Voting has consequences.
I don't believe any Youngkin voters are surprised that he supports overturning Roe v Wade. I don't believe any voters opposed to Youngkin are surprised that he supports overturning Roe v Wade. Literally, I don't think anyone is surprised. In Virginia the governor cannot run for re-election. Once Roe v Wade is officially overturned, look for Youngkin to push hard on something he'll brand as "reasonable" abortion restrictions in Virginia. This will be his entry into running for President. Virginia sends men to the White House. My home state, Pennsylvania, has only one guy, James Buchanan, elected President (look him up, kids). Our next most likely candidate looks to be Dr. Oz. Where's Dick Thornburgh when you need him? (moderate Republican, respected by all, species now extinct)
